Program Description:
The Marketing Diploma in the Department of Administrative Technology is designed to meet the needs of the local labor market for the specialization. Training in this specialization is conducted over nine divided half-term training semesters, each semester lasting eight weeks of training for a total of (1632) training hours, in addition to (490) hours of practical training in the labor market, equivalent to (84) credit hours.
This program provides training on specialized skills in the sales representative profession on:
Marketing principles, distribution channels, product promotion, consumer behavior, customer service, sales skills (1), marketing research, e-marketing, sales skills (2), marketing applications on the computer, and getting to know the business world or (career guidance, excellence, job behavior, and communication skills courses).
The graduate of this program is awarded a diploma from the Department of Administrative Technology in the marketing specialization, which is equivalent to an intermediate university degree issued by the technical college for the same specialization. It is expected that he will work in fields related to marketing as a sales representative or sales supervisor, and customer service.
The general objective of the program:
This program aims to provide the trainee with the skills and information necessary to practice work in the field of marketing and obtain the sixth level in the National Qualifications Framework.
Program objectives:
· Explain the concept of marketing and the elements of the marketing mix, and manage marketing activity.
· Describe the distribution activity as one of the elements of the marketing mix, and all its various activities.
· Explain how to deliver goods and services to the consumer and industrialist at the right time and place.
· Define promotion as one of the elements of the marketing mix and identify its elements.
· Differentiate between the elements of the promotional mix and their uses.
· Describe consumer behavior and the factors affecting it, and its relationship to marketing activities.
· List the tasks and activities of customer service and methods of providing it.
· Measure the quality of customer service in various ways.
· Apply the skills of sales people inside and outside the exhibition.
· Write a marketing research according to the scientific method of marketing research.
· Explain e-marketing, e-commerce and online marketing methods.
· Explain the sales process through sales objectives and sales methods.
